Nice enough for inside!,
When I was finished putting this rocking chair together, my wife said too bad we didn’t have room inside the house for it! This outdoor rocking chair is very well made. It was packaged extremely well, also. The instructions are clear enough for anyone that’s put together other furniture before. There is just pictures, no descriptions, but not too hard to figure out. One suggestion: After you finish tightening all the screws, and before you put in the wood caps over the screw heads, take the rocker on a short test-drive, then snug down all the screws again.
The seat of the rocker is held in place by screws and barrel nuts; the rest of the rocker is fastened with lag bolts. So the main weight-bearing piece, the seat, is held by a solid metal-to-metal contact, so it should hold together well. It took 45 minutes total to put it together, counting unpacking, checking the parts, and using the included hex key for installation. If you have an electric screwdriver with the right-sized bit, that would shave 5 to 10 minutes off that. It’s nice and comfortable.

|Excellent, well crafted chair.,
We are extremely happy with this Strathwood Redonda Hardwood Rocking Chair. So much so, in fact, that it’s currently sitting in our living room as opposed to on our porch. It looks great, is comfortable (even more comfortable with a cushion), and it feels like it will last for years.
When you receive it, you’ll find the box has some good girth and weight to it. From the time I unpacked it to the time I had it all put together and in use, I’d say it took about 35 minutes. There are no detailed instructions, just illustrations, but with those everything is pretty self-explanatory. I didn’t run into any issues putting it together, and the finished product really speaks quality.
We were planning on putting it on our porch, but decided to keep it in a nice corner in our living room. Don’t be discouraged by the “for outdoor use” tag. I’m sure it would work great outdoors or on a porch as well, but if a particular room in your house has a perfect spot, by all means go for it. It is big, perhaps slightly larger than your standard indoor rocking chairs, but it looks great in our living room and our whole family enjoys using it. They sell cushions specifically for this chair, but we found a pillow we weren’t using that fits it perfectly. There is also a bench that is recommended as a partner piece for this chair, but obviously that would be if you’re going to use them both outdoors, as I don’t know many people who would buy a bench for their living room.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the chair. As I said, it really looks and feels like it will last forever, which (barring an act of mother nature or other unexpected calamity) I’m sure it will. Very highly recommended from my personal experience.

|Too Perfect for Just Outdoor Use,
My family and I love this rocking chair. It is well made and durable. It looks great. It is very comfortable. Perfect!
Knowing that I would have to put the rocking chair together myself, I was skeptical that it would be a high quality piece of furniture, which I prefer. However, I knew before even assembling the chair (a task that took me about 20 minutes to complete – quite easily) that it was going to meet my quality expectations. The wood is solid, and obviously well cut and crafted. Unlike at least one other reviewer here, my parts were labeled for easy assembly. Once complete, the rocker was ready to go!
It is smooth and easy. The dark wood grain looks fantastic in the living room…yes, the living room. While we wanted this for the back deck, and will move it there eventually, we’ve been enjoying it far too much inside the house, where it fits in perfectly. Highly recommended!
