Cracked Granite, Otherwise Good Value,
Let’s face it . . . this is a reasonably priced fire pit. I got the best price on Amazon.com after a bit of searching around. It looks pretty nice in my yard and it’s a good size. I have a feeling it won’t last forever, but, again, it’s reasonably priced.
The delivery time was quick . . . I could have received it in about a week . . . you get to pick your delivery window. I picked a weekend, which delayed it a few more weeks. Then I had to call to delay it an additional week. The delivery company was very accommodating.
It took about 2.5 hours to assemble. My partner and I worked together on it. It was helpful to have two people to a) assemble and b) figure out what part goes where. The directions aren’t super clear, but we figured it out ok. Nothing was terribly difficult, but two sets of eyes ands two sets of hands really helped.
While we were unpacking the parts and assembling, it was clear this wasn’t a super high quality product. The metal is a bit flimsy, but workable. The packing seemed minimal, but, again, acceptable. Well . . . sort of.
The big problem became clear when we flipped the unit over at the end of assembly. You build it upside down and turn it over at the end. That’s when we realized the granite top was cracked essentially in half. I’m sure it happened in shipping. Again, the packing wasn’t that substantial.
When I called the company (it was a Saturday) the guy who answered was very nice. He gave me a choice: wait about 6-8 weeks for a replacement part or call Amazon for a whole new unit. I decided to wait for the new granite top since it was already built and I could use it in the interim.
While I am disappointed about the top, I’m going to be able to use it right away, it looks nice, and the customer service was really good. So, I think this is a good deal for the money.

|Nice addition to the patio,
I’ve been looking for a table with gas fire pit for a while for our patio. You can spend lots more on a fire table than this one costs. For me it netted out under $600 after a promo & credit card offer. It looks & works great & I’m pleased with it. No plastic or cast resin to chip, like on some tables I saw that actually cost more. There’s also a cheaper version from the same manufacturer that is worth a look, but I didn’t go with that one because you can see the gas tank through the sides, so this one is a worth while upgrade to me. The granite top is one piece, 3/4″ thick and heavy. The top on mine had no damage in shipping & is lighter in color than pictured. Mine is more cream with flecks of black, brown & orange. Assembly takes one philips screw driver & a supplied allen wrench. I put it together in about 2-1/2 hours on a 100 degree day with a couple breaks. You will want a helper, as most assembly is done with it upside down. You will need to flip it over to complete it. It’s heavy, but was manageable for the misses & me. I suggest assembling close to where you want to use it, so you’re not moving it far. Use cardboard from the packaging under the top during assembly to prevent scratching the granite or your patio/deck. Lastly, if assembling on a sunny day, keep the parts in the shade until you need them as they can get a little hot to handle if sitting in the sun.

|LOVE IT!!!!!,
Was looking for an affordable alternative to a woodburning firepit on my patio. After a lot of research, went with the Uniflame. Was slightly concerned with reviews about the granite being cracked in the box, but mine was BEAUTIFUL!!! Was not hard to assemble with the help of a 2nd person. Puts off a descent amount of heat for the size of the burner. Just love the fact that I can open the door, press a button & have fire! Replaced a woodburning table/firepit I had previously–was concerned about embers sparking close to my house, but not anymore!! This was exactly what we were looking for without paying out of the nose….other sites I looked at were $1000+. Looking forward to using my patio more…something about a fire that makes people gather! Absolutely recommend the Uniflame Gas Outdoor Firebowl with Granite Mantle!
